Club racing is a great opportunity for beginners to learn the basics of windsurf racing in a less intimidating* environment. Also experts can hone their skill and offer advice to those less experienced.
The 2007 Season will feature Club Racing at the Pontiac Yacht club on Monday nights and also at Patterson Park in Grosse Pointe Park on Wednesday nights. We will post more details as soon as they are finalized.
The 2007 PYC Race Series has ended; the final standings are shown below. For the PYC Monday night series all single person sailboats are eligible and the Portsmouth Yardstick handicap system is utilized. Only racers who finished 8 races appear in the final standings.

*Let me let you in a little secret, (don't tell anyone it just between you an me), the bigger events you see listed on the events page are not intimidating. You do not have to be an expert windsurfer to participate, and they are a lot of fun. There maybe a few guys in the A fleet who take things way too seriously, but just stay out of their way on the starting line and everyone gets along fine and has a good time. The Sport Fleet has a separate start anyway, just hang back let the type A personalties in the A fleet take off.
